A Great Britain version of the population density North-South divide. I’ve added an East-West divide that runs at a latitude of 1.5 degrees West (from Newcastle to Southampton). Whence we have two conclusions:

  1. Newcastle is in the West
  2. Junction 3 of the M6 is the centre of Great Britain’s population. Given the traffic jams, this may well be true!

This centre point is about 5km from Coventry, making Coventry the best place to live if you’d like to visit the rest of your compatriots.  Perhaps a new definition for being sent to Coventry?

Happy Christmas to all jamesgeo.com fans… especially those on the M6!
